Star Denies Anti-Vaccine Stance Following Narrating Contentious Coronavirus Film

The acclaimed actor has provided his voice to a recent film that challenges the legitimacy of vaccines and praises one-time health official Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Feature's Disputed Origins

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the project is adapted from a well-known publication published by a controversial scientist, who rose to infamy during the health crisis for allegations that Covid was a result of a bad strain of the seasonal immunization.

The book's collaborator, the executive producer, has previously authored books with conspiracy-prone figure a known commentator. The producer took to social media praising Neeson's participation in the project.

A Firm Denial

The team of Neeson have released a statement strongly denying implications that he subscribes to anti-vaccine beliefs.

"Everyone can recognize that corruption might be present within the pharmaceutical industry, but that must not be confused with rejection of vaccines," the comment states. "Neeson never has been, and is not, against vaccines. His extensive work with Unicef reinforces his long-held support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

The response noted that the actor had no hand in the project's narrative and that inquiries about its assertions are best addressed to the creators.

Major Themes Within the Feature

In the film, the narration spoken by Neeson features several strong statements:

  • It claims that pro-immunization voices have demanded "blind obedience" to government bodies.
  • It posits that "medical science has become deeply influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is interviewed claiming, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they are not safely tested."
  • The narration takes aim at Covid lockdowns, claiming they caused mental anguish that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • Concerning Covid vaccines, it cites a perspective that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Past Context and Ongoing Debates

The film further cites a 2004 BBC documentary about AIDS medication trials on children, which was later the focus of a formal apology by the network for unbalanced reporting.

Last month, the political figure instructed the Centers for Disease Control to alter its official position that there is no connection between vaccines and autism spectrum disorder. This supposed link is also referenced in the documentary, even with a recent study from the World Health Organisation stating no such link has been found.

An Earlier Record of Advocacy

Contrasting the documentary's narrative, Neeson has previously voiced clear advocacy for vaccines in his position as a Unicef global ambassador.

Previously, he referred to vaccines as "a remarkable achievement," noting that "The discourse about vaccines in lately has overlooked how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in human history."

The documentary concludes with Neeson's narration proclaiming, "This isn't the conclusion of our journey. It is the beginning of a fresh chapter."
