Soccer Expert Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game victorious streak came to an end by the Black Cats before the global hiatus, but will the Premier League leaders bounce back against local foes Spurs this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.

In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

The singer's new record, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity match the other evening for a mate of mine," he explained. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my daughter or boy decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I won't force football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their Saturday football team," he added.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a period too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our team for several seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is now more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this fixture will be quite tight, however. Burnley are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It smells of a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look strong again.

The Hammers' sole on the road win this season came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - will it be West Ham extending their streak under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign started, but they have impressed a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four games.

A family member advised me to select Brentford striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much success on the travel this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at their stadium. The visitors will try to attack on the break but I feel the home manager's side carry much more of a threat.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.

They have got lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not seen any other team rough up the Gunners like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to back the visitors here, because they are clearly capable of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the close of last month.

But I am not going to do that. Instead, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they evidently love to prove me wrong.

Looking at Fulham's home form, the only side they have lost to is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be absolutely eager for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

Olly's choice: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a poor streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but might they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
