Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hardcourt
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev secured his first trophy for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a former number one, has endured a torrid period, managing just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serving in especial - led to him falling of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with former mentor Cervara.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set win over opponent Moutet.
This marks his maiden title after the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt after March of the previous year.
Success also indicates Medvedev has secured twenty-one titles at twenty-one different events.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my children simultaneously, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," said tennis professional the champion.
"This title is in dedication of my child her name, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, including in that event earlier this year.
His counter-punching approach and frequent reactions on the tennis court had caused some to question if his ability to perform at the elite level was concluded.
However the player has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and perform positively, supported by an better serve.
He came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the tricky opponent, taking 4 of the last five points to gain the advantage.
Both players traded service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his first ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to create a third set.
Moutet rescued 4 early-game break points in a competitive third set before the Russian secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned victory with a shot at the net area, with Moutet unable to control a volley after a lengthy match.
