Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the firm stated: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was made after an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.
The company has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
